- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/4 c. minced onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 (No. 2 1/2) can tomatoes (29 oz.)
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. basil
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 lb. lasagna noodles
- 1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
- 3/4 lb. Ricotta cheese or fine dry cottage cheese
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Directions

1Cook lasagna, adding cooking oil to prevent sticking.

2Drain. Cook beef, onion and garlic together; brown.

3Add tomato paste, tomatoes, salt, pepper, basil and oregano.

4Cook over low heat until starts to thicken, about 15 minutes.

5Grease a 2 1/2-quart casserole dish.

6Arrange layers of ingredients as follows: tomato-meat mixture, Parmesan cheese, noodles, Mozzarella and Ricotta.

7Repeat layers, ending with meat mixture and Parmesan cheese.

8Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
