- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes, coarsely chopped
- 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper
- 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
- 8 oz. pkg. lasagna noodles
- 8 oz. pkg. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 c. small curd cottage cheese
- 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 slices Mozzarella cheese, halved diagonally
Directions

1Brown ground beef in oil in a large skillet, stirring to crumble.

2Drain off pan dripping.

3Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste and seasonings into meat.

4Bring to a boil.

5Reduce heat and simmer 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
