Ingredients

  • 2 lb. hamburg/sausage
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 (48 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 container small curd cottage cheese
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 lb. lasagna noodles, cooked
  • 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese

    Cook meat and onion.

    Add sauce and water; boil for 5 minutes. Cut 12 thin slices of Mozzarella and set aside for topping. Combine cottage cheese, eggs, parsley, salt and pepper.

    Spread a little sauce on bottom of baking dish (13 x 9-inch) and arrange a layer of noodles.

    Layer cottage cheese mixture, meat sauce and Mozzarella cheese until noodles are used up or baking dish is full. Top with Parmesan cheese.

    Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes
