Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 lb. ground beef
  • 1 to 1 1/2 lb. pork sausage
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 1 medium can tomato paste
  • 12 wide lasagna noodles
  • 1 large can whole tomatoes (save juice from can)
  • 1 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 12 oz. Ricotta cheese
  • 16 oz. Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 1/2 oz. can Parmesan cheese

Directions

    Brown meat; drain.

    Add tomato sauce and paste, whole tomatoes (save the juice), oregano, minced garlic, salt and pepper.

    Simmer for 1 hour.

    Cook lasagna noodles as per package instructions. Place 3 cooked noodles in bottom of low baking dish.

    Over this layer, spread sauce to cover noodles, then spread Ricotta cheese, Parmesan and Mozzarella cheese.

    Add another layer of noodles, sauce and cheeses and repeat.

    Add tomato juice to top layer.

    Bake 45 minutes at 350°.
