Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb. ground beef
  • 1/4 lb. sausage
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. basil or Italian seasoning
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 lb. fresh or canned tomatoes
  • 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
  • 9 to 12 lasagna noodles
  • 3 c. cottage cheese
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese, grated

Directions

    Brown beef and sausage and drain.

    Add garlic, basil, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, tomatoes and tomato paste.

    Simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Cook noodles in boiling water. Drain and rinse in cold water.

    In a bowl, combine cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley, eggs, 1 teaspoon salt and pepper.
