- 1 minced clove garlic
- 1 chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 lb. lasagna, cooked
- 24 oz. tomato paste
- 24 oz. hot water
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 (8 oz. to 12 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella shredded cheese
Directions

1Fry garlic and onions until soft in hot oil in heavy pan.

2Add beef; cook until crumbly, stirring.

3Mix in salt and pepper. Blend tomato paste with water and spices.

4Stir in beef mixture. Simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes.

5Pour a thin layer of sauce into oblong pan.

6Add 1/3 noodles.

7Add more sauce.

8Add 1/3 cheese.

9Repeat layers, ending with cheese.

10Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

11Let set in pan for 15 minutes before cutting into squares.
