  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. basil
  • 2 c. tomatoes
  • 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
  • 2 (12 oz.) cartons large curd cottage cheese
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese

Directions

    Brown meat slowly, add garlic, parsley flakes, basil, salt, tomatoes, water and tomato paste to drained meat.

    Simmer, uncovered, until thick, 45 minutes to 1 hour.

    Cook noodles until tender and drain.

    Rinse with cold water.

    Combine cottage cheese with eggs, pepper and Parmesan cheese.

    Place layer of noodles on bottom of 13 x 9 x 2-inch dish.

    Spread some cheese mix over noodles, then layer of meat, then some Mozzarella cheese.

    Repeat layers until used up.

    Bake at 375° for 30 minutes.
