  • 6 strips lasagne noodles
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 3/4 c. (6 oz can) tomato sauce
  • 2 1/2 c. (1 lb. 4 oz. can) tomatoes
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. dried basil, crumbled
  • 1/2 lb. cottage cheese
  • 1/2 lb. swiss cheese
  • 1/4 c. parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder

Directions

    Cook lasagna in 4 quarts salted boiling water until tender. Stirring occasionally with wooden spoon.

    Drain and rinse with hot water.

    Separate lasagna and hang over edge of colander or pan for easier handling later.
