Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground chuck
  • 2 c. onion, chopped
  • 2 tsp. flavor enhancer
  • 6 c. tomatoes
  • 3 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 12 oz. Mozzarella cheese, sliced in strips
  • 14 oz. Ricotta cheese, sliced
  • 1/3 c. olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed or chopped
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 4 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp. onion salt
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles
  • 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese

Directions

    Brown meat in oil.

    Saute onion and garlic.
  3. 3
    Add all other ingredients except noodles and cheese.

    Simmer 2 1/2 hours.

    Cook noodles according to package directions.

    Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch casserole; put in a layer of noodles, a layer of Mozzarella cheese, a layer of Ricotta cheese and a layer of meat sauce. Repeat.

    Top with Parmesan cheese and bake at 325° for 45 minutes.
