Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 stick oleo
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans tomatoes (put one can in blender and puree)
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped (optional)
  • 8 strips lasagna noodles
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 lb. cottage cheese or Ricotta
  • 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese, sliced or 3 pkg. presliced
  • Parmesan cheese (optional)

Directions

    Brown ground beef; drain.

    Melt oleo in skillet; add browned beef, onion and garlic.

    Cook until onion is sauteed.

    Add remaining ingredients and cook, covered, over low heat for about 1 hour.

    Stir occasionally.
