- 1 1/2 c. chopped onions
- 2 Tbsp. salad or olive oil
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 3/4 tsp. basil
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 tsp. fennel seed
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 9 lasagna noodles
- 1 lb. Ricotta cheese
- 1/2 lb. cottage cheese
- 12 oz. Mozzarella cheese
- 1 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Directions

1In heavy pan, lightly brown beef and onions in oil.

2Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and paste, water, salt, garlic powder, parsley, basil, oregano, fennel seed, pepper and sugar.

3Simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
