Ingredients

  • 1 (18 oz.) can Hunt's tomato paste
  • 1 (next smaller size) can tomato paste
  • 1 1/2 to 2 lb. ground chuck or sausage
  • 4 fresh garlic cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • Ricotta cheese (small or large)
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 balls Falbo Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 dashes nutmeg

Directions

    Brown meat in oil.

    Crumble meat with fork.

    When browned, put meat in large pot (drain excess liquid from meat).

    Add 3 cans of water to the 18 ounces paste.

    Smaller can, add 1 1/2 cans of water in pot.

    Stir paste and water good.

    Add fresh garlic, oregano, sugar, Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper (to taste).

    Cook slow about 1 hour, not covered.

    Stir occasionally.
