  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 (12 oz.) Ricotta cheese
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 3 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 cans tomato sauce or paste
  • 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. noodles
  • 3 tsp. parsley flakes
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. Parmesan cheese

Directions

    Brown meat slowly and add garlic, 1 tablespoon parsley, basil, 1 1/2 teaspoon salt, tomatoes and paste and simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until thick.

    Cook lasagna noodles until tender, drain and rinse in cold water.

    Combine Ricotta cheese, eggs, remaining salt, pepper, parsley and 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese. Place half the noodles in a 13 x 7-inch baking dish.

    Spread 1/2 cheese mixture over noodles.

    Spread 1/2 Mozzarella cheese over cheese mixture and cover with 1/2 meat sauce.

    Repeat layers and garnish with remaining Parmesan cheese.

    Bake for 30 minutes at 370°.
