  • 1 box lasagna noodles
  • 2 jars spaghetti sauce or equivalent homemade sauce
  • 1 lb. cottage cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 large can grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 (16 oz.) pkg. shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 1/2 lb. sweet Italian sausage
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. oil

    In frying pan, brown sausage and hamburger together.

    Mix cottage cheese, egg and 3/4 can Parmesan cheese.

    Set aside.

    Cook lasagna noodles al dente; put salt and oil in water.

    Drain and rinse.

    Layer in 10 x 13-inch pan:

    sauce, lasagna, cottage cheese mixture, meat and Mozzarella cheese; repeat.

    Top with sauce and Mozzarella cheese.

    Bake in 350° oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until bubbly and cheese is melted.
