- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 3 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. salt
- 1 lb. broad noodles, boiled
- 2 lb. dry cottage cheese
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 garlic bud, minced
- 2 c. water
- 1 (No. 2) can tomatoes
- 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 c. Parmesan cheese
Directions

1Brown meat in butter.

2Add onion and garlic.

3Stir in tomato paste, water, salt and tomatoes.

4Cook over low heat for 45 minutes.

5Cook noodles; rinse and drain.

6Butter a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.

7Line dish with layer of noodles, sauce and cheese, ending with sauce and cheese.

8Bake in a 375° oven for 30 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting.
