Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chuck or ground turkey
  • 1/2 c. onion, chopped fine
  • 1 (1 lb. 14 oz.) can whole tomatoes
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. basil
  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 12 oz. Ricotta cheese
  • 3/4 lb. Mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan cheese

Directions

    Brown meat and onion. Drain and add next 7 ingredients. Simmer, covered, for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.

    Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions.

    Drain.

    In greased 13 x 9-inch baking dish, spread just enough sauce mixture to prevent sticking. Starting with noodles, layer noodles, Ricotta cheese, Mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese and 1/3 sauce mixture. Repeat 2 times.

    Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
