Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. hamburger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced or 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 1 Tbsp. basil
  • 1 large can whole peeled tomatoes, chopped in food processor
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 3 c. cottage cheese
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 c. parsley flakes
  • 16 oz. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 box lasagna noodles

Directions

    Brown meat and add garlic, parsley flakes and basil.

    Blend tomatoes and tomato paste in food processor or blender.

    Add to meat mixture and simmer 1 hour.

    Mix cottage cheese, eggs, salt, pepper, Parmesan cheese and parsley.

    Cook noodles until tender. Layer in a 9 x 13-inch pan.

    First layer noodles, then cottage cheese mixture, then Mozzarella cheese and then meat.

    Repeat. Bake at 375° for 30 minutes.
