Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 3/4 c. chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. basil
  • 1/2 tsp. parsley
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 pkg. lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb. Ricotta cheese
  • 8 oz. Mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 1 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

    Lightly brown beef, onion and garlic in olive oil.

    Add tomatoes, tomato paste, water and spices.

    Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally for 30 minutes.

    Cook lasagna noodles; drain.

    In a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan layer alternately sauce, noodles and the 3 cheeses.

    Cover with foil.

    Bake at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes.
