Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 tsp. m.s.g.
  • 2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. allspice
  • 1 Tbsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 (12 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can tomato puree
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c. cottage cheese
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese

Directions

    Cook ground chuck, spices and tomato sauce and puree until thick, approximately 30 to 35 minutes.

    While this is cooking, cook 1 package lasagna noodles as directed on package.

    Drain.

    Then mix well beaten eggs, cottage cheese and Parmesan cheese with 2 tablespoons parsley flakes.

    Layer in a 9 x 15-inch pan, starting with noodles, then cheese sauce, then meat sauce and then shredded Mozzarella cheese.

    Add one more layer of each and top with Mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheeses.

    Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
