- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 lb. sausage
- 2 (8 oz.) cans whole tomatoes
- 1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
- 2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. oregano leaves
- 1 tsp. basil leaves
- 2 c. creamed cottage cheese
- 1 jar Ragu spaghetti sauce
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 (4 oz.) pkg. shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 12 oz. lasagne noodles, cooked and well drained
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Directions

1In Dutch oven or large skillet, cook and stir meats until brown.

2Drain off fat.

3Add tomatoes; break up with fork.

4Stir in tomato paste, garlic salt, oregano leaves, basil leaves and Ragu spaghetti sauce.

5Heat to boiling.

6Stir occasionally.

7Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 20 minutes or until mixture is consistency of spaghetti sauce.

8Heat oven to 350°.

9Stir together cottage cheese and 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese.

10Set aside 1 to 1 1/2 cups meat sauce and 1/2 cup of the Mozzarella cheese.

11In ungreased baking pan, 13 x 9 x 2-inch, alternate layers of 1/3 each noodles, remaining meat sauce, remaining Mozzarella cheese and the cottage cheese mixture.

12Spread reserved meat sauce over top; sprinkle with 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese.

13Sprinkle reserved Mozzarella cheese across lasagne.

14Bake, uncovered, 45 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes before cutting.

15Cut into 3-inch squares. Makes 8 servings.
