- 1 lb hamburger
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 T whole basil
- 1 1/2 t salt
- 2 (6 oz) cans tomato paste
- 1 (l lb) can (2 cups) tomatoes
- 10 oz lasagna noodles
- 1/2 c grated parmesan or romano cheese
- 2 T parsley flakes
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 t salt
- 1/2 t pepper
- 1 lb mozzarella cheese, sliced very thin
- 3 c creamy cottage cheese
Directions

1Brown meat slowly; spoon off excess fat.

2Add garlic, basil, salt, tomatoes and tomato paste.

3Simmer uncovered 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4Cook noodles in a large amount of boiling salted water until tender; drain and rinse.

5Combine remaining ingredients except mozzarella cheese.

6Place 1/2 the noodles in a 9 x 13 baking dish.

7Spread with half the cottage cheese filling, half the mozzarela cheese and half the meat sauce.

8Repeat layer. Bake at 375 F for about 30 minutes.
