- 1 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- dash of salt
- 1/2 c. quick rolled oats

Directions

1Prepare desired filling (recipes follows); set aside.

2Preheat oven to 375°.

3In large mixing bowl, cream butter, brown sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy.

4Mix in flour and salt.

5Reserve 1/2 cup mixture.

6Press remaining mixture evenly in 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

7Bake at 375° for 10 minutes.
