  • 1 pkg. chocolate cookie wafers or 2 ready made chocolate pie shells
  • 1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 lb. red and white peppermint candies, crushed
  • 16 oz. Cool Whip
  • 3 drops green food coloring

Directions

    Crush cookie wafers or crush pie shells.

    Layer jelly roll pan 1/4 to 3/8-inch thickness with crumbs.

    Spread softened ice cream over top of crumbs.

    Sprinkle peppermint candy crumbs on top of ice cream layer.

    Add green food coloring to Cool Whip and spread on top.

    Use rest of chocolate crumbs for top layer.

    Freeze until ready to eat.
