- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. margarine, softened
- 1 large egg
- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. finely chopped pecans
- 3/4 c. cherry preserves
- 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325°.

2Grease and flour 8-inch square pan. In large bowl, cream sugar, margarine and egg.

3Stir in flour, one cup at a time.

4Stir in pecans.

5Divide dough into 2 balls; wrap 1/2 in plastic while preparing remainder.

6Press remaining dough into pan.
-
7Spread with preserves to within 1/2-inch from edge of pan.

8Sprinkle with chocolate chips and cinnamon.

9Pat out remaining dough between plastic wrap to shape of pan and cover over mixture.

10Press edges to seal.

11Bake until golden, about 60 minutes.

12Score while hot; cut when cool.
