Ingredients

  • 1 head raw cabbage
  • onions, chopped
  • mushrooms (optional)
  • 1 c. rice
  • 1 lb. hamburger meat
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 qt. tomato juice
  • bacon strips

Directions

    Lay some cabbage leaves in bottom of pan.

    Saute onions, mushrooms and whatever else you want to add.

    Cook the rice. Saute the hamburger meat.

    Add onion mixture, eggs, rice and some chopped cabbage leaves.

    Lay this mixture on top of the cabbage leaves in pan.

    Top with rest of cabbage leaves.

    Pour tomato juice over all.

    Layer strips of bacon on top.

    Bake at 350° until bacon is cooked, then everything else will be done.
