Lazy Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 (28 oz.) cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 envelope spaghetti sauce mix
  • 1 c. Ricotta or cottage cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella cheese, shredded

Directions

    Brown meat in a large saucepan and drain.

    Add next 4 ingredients.

    Bring to boil and simmer for 10 minutes.

    In a small bowl, mix Ricotta cheese or cottage cheese, egg and Parmesan cheese.

    Put a little of the meat sauce in bottom of 13 x 9 baking dish and alternate layers as follows:

    noodles, 1/3 meat sauce, half of cheese mixture.

    Repeat and then top with remaining meat sauce.

    Sprinkle Mozzarella cheese on top and cover with foil. Bake at 350° for one hour or until noodles are tender.

    Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
