- 1 to 2 pkg. egg noodles
- 1 large cabbage
- 1 large piece salt pork
- 2 big onions, diced
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 to 2 sticks butter
- 1 lb. hamburger (optional)
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
Directions

1Cook noodles; drain and set aside.

2Core and cook cabbage (quartered).

3Add lemon juice to water while cooking 25 minutes until done.

4Drain and dice cabbage.

5Brown hamburger; drain and set aside in bowl.

6In same pan, place salt pork.

7On low heat, cook until most of drippings are out.

8Discard pork rind.
-
9To drippings add 1 stick butter.
-
10Saute onions and cabbage.

11Salt and pepper to taste.

12Blend in hamburger (if using) to pan mixture.
