Ingredients

  • no stick vegetable spray
  • 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 to 4 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. corn meal
  • 1/4 c. water

Directions

    Coat a heavy stew pot with no stick spray, i.e. Pam.

    Brown ground meat and onion, stirring often.

    If desired, drain off fat. Add next ingredients and simmer 10 to 15 minutes.

    To thicken, combine corn meal and 1/4 cup of water; add to chili and simmer for 15 minutes.
