- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 5 eggs
- 1 3/4 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 3 lemons, juiced
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees

2In a medium bowl, blend together softened butter, 2 cups flour, and 1/2 cup sugar using a fork or pastry cutter. Press into the bottom of an ungreased 9x13 pan.

3Bake for 15-20 minutes or until firm and golden. Set aside.

4In another bowl, whisk together the remaining 1 3/4 cup sugar and 1/4 cup flour. Beat in the eggs and lemon juice.

5Pour over baked crust and bake for 20 minutes. Wiggle the pan to see if middle is cooked. Should not be runny.

6The bars will firm up as they cool.
