  • 13 cup of melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 12 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons grated lemon zest
  • 12 cup milk
  • 12 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries or 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 14 cup powdered sugar

    Preheat oven to 350.

    Lightly grease a 8x4 inch loaf pan.

    In a bowl, beat butter, 1 cup of sugar, juice and eggs.

    In separate bowl combine flour, baking powder, salt, and lemon zest; stir into egg mixture alternately with milk.

    Gently fold in nuts and blueberries.

    Pour batter into pan.

    Bake for 60-70 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

    Cool in pan for 10 minutes.

    Meanwhile, combine lemon juice and powdered sugar in a small bowl.

    Turn bread onto a rack and drizzle with glaze.

    You can sub cranberries, if so use orange juice in place of the lemon or the lemon is still wonderful.
