Lemon Bread

Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. margarine or butter
- 2 eggs
- grated skin of 1 lemon
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. sugar
Directions

1Cream margarine and sugar; add eggs and beat well.

2Blend in lemon rind.

3Mix dry ingredients; add slowly to creamed mixture. Alternate with milk.

4Blend until smooth.

5Pour into greased loaf pan.

6Bake at 350° for 55 minutes.

7Mix lemon juice and sugar. Pour over bread as soon as it is out of oven.

8Use a knife to loosen sides of bread from pan first.

9Leave in pan for 15 minutes.
