- 5 Tbsp. oleo
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- grated rind of 1 lemon
Directions

1Cream oleo, salt and sugar. Add one egg at a time, beating after each addition.

2Add lemon rind. Sift flour with baking powder.

3Add alternately to creamed mixture with milk.

4Then stir in nuts.

5Bake in well greased loaf pan at 350° for 55 minutes. Place pan on cooling rack and spoon mixture of juice of 1 lemon and 1/2 cup sugar over hot loaf.

6Cool in pan.

7Remove, wrap in foil and place in refrigerator.

8Allow to ripen for 2 to 3 days.
