- 1 egg
- 1 c. lemon marmalade
- 1 Tbsp. butter, melted and cooled
- 2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
Directions

1Beat egg in large bowl until thickened.

2Add marmalade and butter until well blended.

3Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

4Combine buttermilk and lemon juice. Alternately add dry and liquid ingredients in thirds to egg mixture, stirring until well mixed.

5Fold in walnuts.

6Pour batter into greased loaf pan.

7Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.

8Cool in pan 5 minutes.

9Invert onto wire rack.
