- 6 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 c. white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts (almonds or pecans)
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. grated lemon rind
- 1 lemon
- 1/2 c. sugar
Directions

1Mix as batter for cake.

2Line pan with waxed paper.

3Bake at 325° for 1 hour.

4Over hot baked bread, pour juice and remaining rind of one lemon and 1/2 cup sugar which has been cooked and cooled.
