Lemon Cream Scones

- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/3 c. powdered sugar
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. golden raisins
- 1 tsp. grated lemon peel
- 1 c. whipping cream
- 2 to 4 Tbsp. water
Directions

1Heat oven to 375°.

2In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.

3Stir in raisins and lemon peel.

4With a fork, stir in cream and enough water needed to make it come together in a rough mass.

5On a lightly floured surface, knead dough 5 times. Place on a greased cookie sheet and pat into an 8-inch circle. With a sharp knife, cut halfway through dough to mark into 12 pie-shaped wedges.

6Bake 20 to 30 minutes, until golden brown. Remove to a wire rack to cool.

7Cut into wedges while still warm. Serve warm or at room temperature.

8Makes 12 scones.
