- 23 cup sugar
- 7 large egg yolks
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh lemon rind
- 1 12 cups heavy cream
- 14 cup fresh lemon juice
- 14 teaspoon nutmeg
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

2Place 4 custard cups in medium baking pan.

3Whisk together sugar, egg yolks and lemon rind in a large bowl.

4Whisk in cream, lemon juice and nutmeg.

5Divide equally among cups.

6Add enough hot water to pan to come halfway up sides of cups.

7Bake with rack positioned in center of oven until custard is set around edges, but still moves slightly in center when gently shaken, about 55 minutes.

8Transfer cups to rack and cool slightly.

9Cover and chill until cold for at least 8 hours.

10Serve topped with whipped cream.
