- 3 egg yolks
- 3 egg whites
- 1/2 c. lemon juice (about 3 lemons)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
Directions

1Mix egg yolks, lemon juice and condensed milk until creamy. Heat oven to 350°.

2Use graham cracker crust.

3Pour mixture into pie shell.

4Beat egg whites on high speed until fluffy.

5Slowly add 2 tablespoons sugar for each egg white.

6Add vanilla and cream of tartar.

7Beat until stiff.

8Cover pie mixture with meringue and bake until slightly brown (about 10 minutes).

9Sprinkle crushed pecans on top, if desired.

10A little grated lemon rind adds a nice touch.
