- 2 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 2 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 lb. dark raisins, dredged in a little flour
- 1 box chopped dates, dredged in a little flour
- rind of 1 grated lemon and juice
Directions

1Cream the butter or margarine and sugar well.

2Add eggs, one at a time, then flour, then raisins, dates, then lemon rind and juice.

3Bake in four 9-inch cake pans, greased and lined with paper.

4Bake at 325° for 25 to 30 minutes.
