Ingredients
- 1 12 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 12 cup shortening
- 1 12 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 4 lemons
- 12 cup milk
Directions

1Grate rind of 2 lemons.

2Squeeze 4 lemons into glass bowl, stir in 1/2 cup sugar till disolved.

3Set aside.

4Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.

5Cream shortening in another bowl, beat in 1 cup sugar gradually.

6Add eggs to shortening and beat well.

7Stir in lemon rind.

8Blend in dry mixture alternately with milk.

9Mix till smooth.

10Pour into greased loaf pans.

11Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

12Test with tooth pick.

13Remove from oven and immediately drizzle lemon/sugar glaze over each loaf.

14Let cool 10 minutes.

15And remove form pans.

16Allow to cool completely before slicing.
