  • 4 Tbsp. salad oil
  • 2 lb. round steak, cut in strips
  • 1/2 c. bouillon
  • 3/4 c. soy sauce
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. sherry
  • 3 onions, sliced thin
  • 1 c. sliced celery
  • 1 can sliced bamboo shoots
  • 1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced thin
  • 1 can water chestnuts
  • 10 oz. box frozen cooked spinach
  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • 1 pkg. vermicelli, cooked

Directions

    Brown meat in hot oil.

    Combine bouillon, soy sauce, sugar and sherry in bowl.

    Add 1/2 mixture to meat.

    Push meat to one side of frying pan.

    Add onions and celery and cook over low heat 3 minutes.

    Add remaining bouillon mixture, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, water chestnuts and cooked spinach.

    Cook for three minutes.

    Add green onions.

    Cook 1 hour over low heat.

    Serve over the cooked vermicelli.
