- 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 c. buttermilk
- grated rind of 1 lemon
- juice from 1 lemon
- 1 Tbsp. poppy seed
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar, beat in eggs, one at a time.

2Combine dry ingredients and add to the creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk.

3Stir in grated lemon rind and juice from lemon.
