- 4 sticks butter
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 6 eggs, separated
- 1 small bottle lemon extract
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 3 3/4 c. flour
- chopped pecans
Directions

1Cream the butter and sugar.

2Add egg yolks, extract, baking powder and flour; mix well.

3Beat the egg whites with electric mixer and add to cake mixture.

4Stir in nuts.

5Pour into greased and floured tube pan.

6Bake at 275° for 1 1/2 hours.
