- 1 c. shortening
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 1/2 c. plain flour
- 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp. lemon flavoring
Directions

1Cream together the shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time.

2Mix flours and salt. Add this to the sugar mixture alternately with milk.

3Add flavoring and lemon juice; mix well. Pour into tube pan. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
