- 1 c. Crisco (white)
- 3 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3 c. enriched flour
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 Tbsp. lemon extract
Directions

1Cream sugar and Crisco.

2Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.

3Add salt and soda to buttermilk.

4Add sifted flour and buttermilk mixture alternately to sugar and egg mixture.

5Pour into tube pan and bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes at 350°.

6(Tube pan must be greased and floured before preparation.)
