  • 2 c. sugar
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 2/3 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 3-5 Tbsp. milk
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. lemon flavoring
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

    Cream shortening and sugar until very creamy.

    Add one egg at a time; mix well.

    Blend in flour, salt, baking powder, and enough milk to moisten.

    Pour into well-greased tube pan and bake at 350° for one hour.
