- 1 cup Crisco
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons lemon extract
- 3 cups flour
- 12 teaspoon baking soda
- 12 teaspoon baking powder
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 2 12 cups powdered sugar
- 14-12 cup lemon juice
Directions

1Put all ingredients for cake in bowl and beat 3 minutes.

2Pour in greased and floured tube pan.

3Bake @ 325 degrees approximately an hour.

4(I tend to underbake this cake a bit it is moist and delicious).

5LEMON GLAZE: Mix 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar and lemon juice until its smooth but still thick.

6Pour over cake while still hot.

7(I usually poke holes in this cake with a skewer so the icing will penetrate).
