- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. shortening
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 3 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. lemon extract
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. butter flavoring
Directions

1Cream sugar and shortening.

2Add eggs, one at a time.

3Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt; add alternately with buttermilk.

4Add extracts and flavoring.

5Mix well.

6Pour into a greased and floured tube pan.

7Bake at 300° for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

8Brush part of glaze on cake when it comes from the oven. Invert on serving plate and brush remaining glaze all over cake.
