- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. Crisco
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 5 eggs
- 2 tsp. pure lemon extract
Directions

1Sift flour; measure and sift again with baking powder and salt.

2Cream the Crisco and sugar.

3Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

4Add flour alternately with milk.

5Add extract last.

6Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 325°.
