  • 2 1/2 c. plain flour, sifted
  • 1/2 c. self-rising flour, sifted
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1/4 c. Crisco
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 tsp. almond or lemon flavoring
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

    Cream butter and Crisco good.

    Add sugar a little at a time, then add eggs, one at a time.

    Then add flour and milk alternating.

    Add vanilla and lemon flavorings.

    Place in pound cake Bundt pan, greased and floured.

    Bake at 325° in preheated oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
