  • 3 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 c. milk
  • juice and grated rind of 1 lemon

Directions

    Mix first 4 ingredients together.

    Add egg yolks, milk, juice and grated rind.

    Beat with eggbeater.

    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.

    Bake in greased baking dish set in a pan of hot water for 45 minutes at 350°.
